O que é FIRPTA?
FIRPTA é uma retenção federal emitida para um não-residente que está vendendo seu ativo ou propriedade nos EUA. Quando uma propriedade é vendida, o Agente de Fechamento reterá 15% do preço de venda e enviará esse valor ao IRS. Quando o vendedor posteriormente apresentar sua declaração de imposto, o IRS determinará se o valor retido foi suficiente.
Se o valor retido for muito baixo, você pagará mais durante a declaração.
Se o valor retido for maior que o necessário, o IRS emitirá um reembolso do valor excedente.
Quando o FIRPTA se Aplica?
